You run a youth/children's choir. We have just completed a new optional feature in HarmonySite that allows you to track, within each child's member record, BOTH parents' contact details. If you would like this new option enabled, please let me know. Or, you are welcome to leave your HarmonySite the way it is at the moment.
If you prefer to have parents added to your database as separate "member" records, then leave your site the way it is now. If you prefer to have all parent details contained within the CHILD "member" record, then you'll probably want this new option (unless you only ever care about the contact details of ONE parent).
